The City Will Not Only Survive, But Thrive Post Brexit Debate

  • London
Partner Barney Reynolds (London), head of the global Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory Group, spoke at Thomson Reuters' debate "The City Will Not Only Survive, But Thrive Post Brexit" on April 19 in London.

The City is indisputably Europe’s leading financial center. Some think the loss of the EU passport in a "hard Brexit" will inevitably diminish London. Others think that London will thrive as an international marketplace, freed from some of the constraints of EU regulation. Reynolds debated this topic alongside Helena Morrissey, Chair, Investment Association, with James Grand, Partner, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Alan Houmann, Head of Government Affairs, EMEA, Citi.  The panel was moderated by Alan Houmann, Head of Government Affairs, EMEA, Citi.
