On April 25, 2023 Partner Karl Pires (Tokyo-Mergers & Acquisitions) participated in a panel discussion titled “Reshaping portfolios with M&As: regulatory driven consolidation” at a conference presented by the International Bar Association (IBA) Corporate and M&A Law Committee. The panel discussion reflected on how regulatory changes are playing out in India & Southeast Asia and helping to unlock value in M&A transactions.

The two-day conference was held in Mumbai, India under the theme of “Mergers and Acquisitions in India: is India the last oasis of hope in a global slowdown?”. Topics covered included ESG, financial sponsor appetite for India investments, public company M&A and trends in M&A disputes.
