Active in Brazil and throughout Latin America for more than 80 years, Shearman & Sterling was among the first major law firms to open a São Paulo office back in 2004. The firm celebrated that long history and toasted to a promising future on November 13 with a 10-year anniversary cocktail party attended by more than 200 clients and friends of the firm.

“Everyone had a great time, and it was a perfect opportunity for us to step back and celebrate our long-standing history of serving clients in Brazil,” said Robert Ellison, managing partner of the firm’s São Paulo office. “We took this time to thank our clients for allowing us to advise on their important transactions and matters and raised a glass together in anticipation of the continued growth and expansion of the Brazilian market.”
