Shearman & Sterling advised Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation on the acquisition of all shares in Cleanpart Group GmbH from Service Investment S.à.r.l., a subsidiary of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG’s investment fund DBG Fund VI. Closing of the transaction is expected in October 2018.

Cleanpart is a service company for the semiconductor industry in Europe and the U.S. The company services process-critical components in machines that are primarily used in the production of logic chips, memory chips and comparable components. Shinryo Corporation, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, provides similar services in Japan and other Asian markets.
