Partner and Head of Greater China Lorna Chen (Hong Kong-Investment Funds) was honored on November 8 at the Euromoney Legal Media Group Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2018 with the Individual Award for “Best in Banking and Finance.”

The annual event gathered Asia’s leading female lawyers to celebrate women leading the field in practice areas across Asia and the achievements of law firms and in-house individual lawyers and teams setting the standard in female-friendly working practices.

Lorna founded the firm’s Asset Management and Investment Funds practice in Asia in 2008 and became Head of Greater China in 2017.  She has been consistently ranked as a “Leading Lawyer” for Investment Funds by IFLR1000, Chambers Asia and Asia Pacific Legal 500. Lorna is also active in promoting appropriate regulation, communication and education in the finance sector, including being a member of the Technical Committee of the Hong Kong Venture Capital Association (HKVCA).  An advocate for gender diversity in the legal and business communities, Lorna recently moderated the “Private Equity: Senior Management Insights” panel at the AVCJ Women in Asian Private Equity Forum in Hong Kong.
