Shearman & Sterling won “Deal of the Year Sustainability” at the Legalcommunity Finance Awards Web Edition in recognition of its work on Green financing of 1.1 billion for Italo. The deal was led by partner Valerio Fontanesi.

It was one of the very first loans made available to an Italian company in line with the green loan principles and the sustainability linked loan principles.

The awards ceremony was held via web in Milan on May 5, 2020.
