Shearman & Sterling advised Dutscher Group on the acquisition of Labochema and AH diagnostics groups, specialists in the distribution of scientific equipment and laboratory consumables to the life sciences and diagnostics markets.

Labochema operates in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, with 50 employees and a €12.6 million turnover in 2020. Based in Denmark and covering the markets in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland, AH diagnostics has reached a turnover of €19 million in 2020 with 48 employees.

The integration of Labochema and AH diagnostics is intended to strengthen the group’s position in the Baltic States and Scandinavia and to develop new opportunities.

Both acquisitions consolidate Dominique Dutscher’s position as Europe’s leading independent distributor of laboratory materials with a turnover of approximately €300 million, achieved by companies with a complementary geographic footprint and shared values, based on strong customer relationships and a strong sense of service.
