Shearman & Sterling received 117 recognitions in the 2023 edition of Legalease’s The Legal 500 United Kingdom, including 20 practice rankings and 62 individuals earned a total of 97 individual recognitions.
Legal 500 named one partner (Barney Reynolds) and two of counsel (Patrick Clancy and John Inglis) to its Hall of Fame across five practice areas including Derivatives and Structured Products, Emerging Markets, Financial Services: Non-Contentious/Regulatory, Oil & Gas and Power (including Electricity, Nuclear and Renewables). The Hall of Fame recognizes lawyers who are widely regarded as being at the very top of the profession and have been ranked as “Leading Individuals” by The Legal 500 for at least eight of the last ten years. In addition, 12 individuals were recognized as Leading Individuals and one Rising Star.
