CSFI SERIES: THE CITY POST-BREXIT

Partner Barney Reynolds (London-Financial Institutions Advisory & Financial Regulatory) spoke on the November edition of the CSFI webinar series “The City post-Brexit: with Barney Reynolds (Shearman & Sterling)” on November 2, 2021. The discussion revolved around making it easier for companies to have a U.K. domicile and how when it comes to implementing Basel rules on bank capital, the City has a role in managing eurozone risk, which may be exacerbated by foot-dragging over capital requirements. Audit and governance regulation and potential contagion from China’s Evergrande crisis are also on the agenda.
