INDONESIA’S NEW ‘POSITIVE LIST’: AN OPTIMISTIC OUTLOOK ON FOREIGN INVESTMENTS IN THE ENERGY SPACE

As part of Law No. 11 of 2020 regarding Job Creation or “Omnibus Law” (a regulatory framework intended to address investment and create value within the Indonesian economy), Indonesian president, Joko Widodo, issued Presidential Regulation No. 10 of 2021 (the “Positive List”) in February to replace its predecessor, Presidential Regulation No. 44 of 2016 (often referred to as the “Negative List”).
