Mr. Masahisa Ikeda is the Asia Regional Managing Partner, Head of Tokyo office and a member of the Executive Group of Shearman & Sterling.  Mr. Ikeda advises global corporations regarding cross-border acquisitions, financings and disputes. He has extensive experience representing Japanese companies, financial advisors and underwriters in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He has also provided corporate governance-related advice to numerous industrial and financial clients in Japan. He also represents numerous Japanese corporations on various government investigations and regulatory matters, including investigations relating to securities law, antitrust law and FCPA, before the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the European Commission. Mr. Ikeda speaks frequently on numerous international business issues and legal issues.

Mr. Ikeda has been named a leading practitioner for capital markets, M&A and asset management by Chambers Global, Chambers Asia, Asia Pacific Legal 500, IFLR 1000 and the Nihon Keizai Shimbun.
