Shearman & Sterling Advises on €650 Million Offering by Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social

Shearman & Sterling represented Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), Brazil’s national bank for economic and social development and the primary domestic source of long-term financing in the Brazilian economy, in connection with its offering of €650,000,000 3.625% Notes due 2019, listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch, J.P. Morgan Securities plc and Banco Santander, S.A. acted as Lead Managers, and BB Securities Ltd. and Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International plc acted as Co-Managers.

The transaction involved four offices (São Paulo, New York, London and Washington, DC).
