Shearman & Sterling Advises on Kinross Gold Corporation’s Offering of Common Shares

Shearman & Sterling represented TD Securities Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc. as joint lead bookrunners and BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., GMP Securities L.P., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Merrill Lynch Canada Inc., Canaccord Genuity Corp., Credit Suisse Securities (Canada), Inc., HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities Canada Inc., Morgan Stanley Canada Limited, Citigroup Global Markets Canada Inc. and National Bank Financial Inc., as co-managers in connection with a public offering of 83,400,000 common shares of Kinross Gold Corporation (“Kinross”) at a public offering price of $3.00 per share on a bought deal basis, for gross proceeds of approximately $250.2 million.

Kinross is a Canadian senior gold mining company with mines and projects in the United States, Brazil, Chile, Ghana, Mauritania and Russia.
