Shearman & Sterling Advises on WestJet’s $400 Million Inaugural US Offering of Senior Notes

Shearman & Sterling advised Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and Citigroup Global Markets Inc., as joint book-running managers, TD Securities (USA) LLC as senior co-manager and BMO Capital Markets Corp., CIBC World Markets Corp., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., RBC Capital Markets, LLC and Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. as co-managers, in connection with its inaugural US Rule 144A/Regulation S private placement of US$400 million aggregate principal amount of 3.50% senior notes due 2021 of WestJet Airlines Ltd. (“WestJet”).

WestJet is a leading Canadian airline based in Calgary, Alberta, providing scheduled commercial air travel, vacation packages and charter and cargo services. WestJet serves leisure and business guests in Canada, US and international markets, including Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe.
