The guide provides corporate counsel, international practitioners, competition authorities and government agencies with a comprehensive worldwide legal analysis of the laws and regulations of merger control. Carloni authored the chapter on Italy, with questions and answers covering the most interesting developments in merger control in the last 12 months and their impact on the transaction timetable, substantive assessment of the merger and outcome of the process, in particular focusing on remedies and key policy reform proposals, including the Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato’s (Italian Competition Authority) recent proposal to lower the target turnover threshold.
