Shearman & Sterling’s excellence in investigations was once again recognized by Global Investigations Review (GIR), ranking the firm in its 2023 edition of the GIR 100. Based on extensive research, GIR selects 100 firms from around the world that it deems most able to handle sophisticated cross-border government-led and internal investigations. This is the ninth consecutive year Shearman & Sterling has made the list. In addition, the firm was shortlisted for “Most Impressive Investigations Practice of the Year” and “Most Important Development of the Year” for its representation of Danske Bank A/S in connection to its $2 billion resolution in the U.S. and Denmark.

GIR touts the firm’s bench of former government officials and experience handling global investigations and defending companies and individuals in connection with anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions and antitrust practices.
