Global law firm Shearman & Sterling today announces the appointment of Thomas Mastoras as a Leveraged Finance partner in the Finance practice, based in New York.
Thomas has significant experience acting on public and private debt financing transactions across the capital structure. His finance experience covers acquisition financing (including public and private M&A), corporate investment grade and leveraged financings, direct and special situations lending, dividend recapitalizations, distressed and opportunistic financings, and debt restructurings and workouts.
Thomas has advised on leveraged buyouts and other debt financing transactions with private equity sponsors, corporate issuers and other investment banks. He has also carried out significant transactional work counselling investment banks, credit funds, corporate borrowers, and private equity sponsors on a variety of financing transactions, including bank/bond facilities, cross border and domestic acquisitions, DIP financings, bridge loans, workouts, rescue loans and restructurings.
