Shearman & Sterling has received The American Lawyer Global Legal Award for Global Dispute of the Year: International Litigation. The firm was recognized for its significant victory on behalf of client Cargolux Airlines International SA in an important case before the European General Court in Luxembourg.

The Global Legal Awards honor law firms and in-house legal departments that played a substantial role in the most distinguished international work performed between January 1, 2015 and April 15, 2016, across a wide range of disciplines. This year’s contest attracted more than 200 entries in the categories of citizenship, disputes, mergers and acquisitions, and finance.

The winners will be honored at an awards dinner in New York on September 26, 2016, when the grand prize in each of the four award categories will also be presented.
