Partner Lisa Brill (New York-Real Estate) recently authored an article, “The Art of Removal: Replacing Managers in Joint Ventures,” that was published by Real Estate Finance & Investment on March 19. In this article, Lisa examines typical contractual removal rights, limitations on removal and effects of removal in the context of real estate joint venture agreements. “Negotiating removal rights is an art, not a science, and there is not a one size fits all approach. Every party comes to the table with its own concerns, requirements and tolerance for veering from its preferred position,” she concludes.
