Energía del Pacífico Sale of Stake in Kallpa Generación and Samay I

Shearman & Sterling advised Energía del Pacífico in its sale of a 25.1 percent stake in Peruvian power generation companies Kallpa Generación and Samay I to Nautilus Inkia Holdings, a portfolio company of I Squared Capital. The deal is valued at $341.8 million.

Partner Denise Grant (New York-Project Development & Finance) led the team that advised the seller. Counsel Jeffrey Tate (Washington, D.C.-Tax), associates Filipe Lima, Thomas Ayres and Mariana Pacini (all São Paulo-Corporate); and James Ireland and Kelsey Scribner (both New York-Project Development & Finance) were also part of the team.

Energía del Pacífico was also advised by Grimaldo Abogados and Rebaza, Alcázar & De las Casas. Nautilus Inkia Holdings was advised by White & Case LLP and Rodrigo, Elias & Medrano Abogados.

The deal was signed on October 16 and closed on October 19.
