On August 24, Asia Regional Managing Partner and Head of Greater China Lorna Chen moderated the Hong Kong Panel at the China Private Equity Summit 2022, organized by the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA).

Together with other senior industry leaders, Lorna discussed the following topics at the panel:

• Major legal and regulatory initiatives in Hong Kong in the past 12 months that may impact the PE/VC industry
• How various sectors have reacted to recent regulatory trends
• How the government and regulators can enhance Hong Kong’s market position as a major financial hub

This year the annual flagship event focused on what actions are being taken by Chinese PE and VC practitioners and how they are preparing going forward under the uncertain global political and economic circumstances. It was held in hybrid format for the first time and brought more than 1,000 venture capital and private equity practitioners, corporates, and other industry professionals across the region and around the world to join the discussion.
